Stomach aches are no fun.In this recipe uses essential oils that are known to help soothe stomach pain. For use on children over 5 years of age.
Lavender is a calming and analgesic which helps relieve symptoms of pain from a stomach ache. Germanium is balancing and anti-inflammatory. Peppermint is a traditionally oil for stomach ailments. Peppermint is also an anti-spasmodic and stimulant. Rosemary is an analgesic, and anti-septic.
- Lavender 5 drops
- Geranium 5 drops
- Peppermint 5 drops
- Rosemary 5 drops
Then add 20 drops to 30 mls of vegetable oil of your choice. Mix well, and massage the stomach gently.
Essential oils are very concentrated, and if ingested, they can damage the stomach lining. Aromatherapists generally do not recommend ingesting essential oils because of this. Stomach issues, like tummy aches, can be treated by putting diluted oils onto the skin, and massaging the area in a clock-wise motion.
Head lice is not an easy to treat.The treatment options found on supermarket shelves are almost always full of nasty toxins and expensive. The good news is there are Aroma options for lice.They dislike, tea tree and lavender.
To deter head lice add a few drops of either Lavender or Tea Tree or both to a normal shampoo bottle (one drop per ml), and shake or stir. You can roll your shampoo bottle to blend together then apply to your hair.
If lice has made their home on your head, massage Shea butter into your scalp and hair, leave for twenty minutes, rinse and shampoo, and then comb through your hair whilst damp to extract lice and eggs. Launder bedding, coats and hats, and repeat this process three days later.
To create a Concentration Blend diffuse while the student is doing their homework:
- Rosemary 3 Drops
- Orange 3 Drops
- Spearmint 3 Drops
This blend can help to improve the ability to concentrate. Orange helps to uplift the mood and prevent insomnia.Spearmint helps to prevent the onset of headaches. Rosemary is a wonderful brain stimulant and helps to remove brain fog
REDUCE STRESS before school
The first days of school can be very stressful for Children. Diffuse essential oils in your home to calm the morning rush. It’s a great, toxic free way to start the day.
You can also create an aromatherapy blend that can be added to an inhaler or an item of aromatherapy jewelry that can be inhaled throughout the day as and when needed. This method is wonderful when added to a warm relaxing bath at the end of a particularly long and stressful day.
- Bergamot 15 drops
- Lavender 15 drops
- Marjoram 15 drops
- Lemon 15 drops
- Mix in a 2 ml bottle. Inhale directly or blend into a carrier oil for massage at one drop of blend to 1 ml of carrier oil. Add 4-10 drops of the blend directly into a bath (use 1/2 the amount for children). Inhale deeply and enjoy!
To make this aromatherapy bath even more beneficial, blend two tablespoons of honey with one cup of very hot water, add your blend of oils then pour this mixture into the running water of your tub. Wonderful for the skin and a stress relief.
